Mission RCMP arrest 70-year-old man after discovering woman with gun wounds

MISSION, B.C. – Mission RCMP have arrested a man after finding a 69-year-old woman with shotgun wounds.

Officers responded to distress calls on Saturday evening and found a woman on a driveway with gun wounds.

She was rushed to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police say the woman identified the shooter as her 70-year-old husband of 50 years.

Officers apprehended the man and say he appeared to be intoxicated.

Charges have not been laid, and police are investigating.
