Spilled jet fuel along B.C.’s Columbia River did not affect waterways: province

GOLDEN, B.C. – B.C.’s Environment Ministry says none of the jet fuel spilled by a tank car that overturned while being hauled by a semi entered the nearby Columbia river.

The ministry says the tanker, which overturned along the Columbia, was leaking but the leak was brought under control.

The ministry says it is unclear how much fuel was spilled or how much fuel was in the tank when it overturned.

The tanker overturned between Radium and Golden.
