4 injured circus acrobats to speak about hair-hanging accident that sent them plummeting
BOSTON – Four circus acrobats injured during a hair-hanging stunt are expected to speak about the accident that sent them plummeting to the ground during a live performance in Rhode Island.
Lawyer Michael Krzak (KRI’-zak) says the four are expected to talk about their accident on Tuesday at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, although that number could change depending on their conditions.
Eight acrobats were hurt during the accident at the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus on May 4. Most have not spoken publicly about the accident.
Krzak’s law firm is representing seven of the acrobats, and it says it’s investigating who was responsible. The eighth has her own lawyer.
Some of the acrobats have severe injuries, and it’s unclear whether two with spinal cord injuries will walk again.
