Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Industrials. Up two cents, or 0.69 per cent, to $2.92 on 21 million shares.
GeneNews Ltd. (TSX:GEN). Health care. Up two cents, or 12.12 per cent, to 18.5 cents on 13.5 million shares.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financials. Up eight cents, or 0.36 per cent, to $22.60 on 13 million shares.
Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Down $2.86, or 5.78 per cent, to $46.65 on 12 million shares.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Down 12 cents, or 1.23 per cent, to $9.60 on 9.6 million shares.
The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings. (TSX:TGOD). Health care. Down 23 cents, or 5.25 per cent, to $4.15 on 9.2 million shares.
Companies reporting:
Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Up 27 cents, or 1.65 per cent, to $16.62. The board of directors of Newmont Mining Corp. has unanimously rejected a hostile takeover offer from Barrick Gold and countered with a proposal of its own. The board says the unsolicited, all-stock US$18-billion proposal is not in the best interests of Newmont’s shareholders. Instead, Newmont, which is in the midst of acquiring Vancouver-based gold miner Goldcorp Inc., is proposing a joint venture with Barrick in Nevada where the companies both have extensive operations.
