Firefighters turning up the heat on calendar sales for the holidays
KAMLOOPS – Kamloops Firefighters Charitable Society has met nearly half of its goal for calendar sales and the plan is to increase sale opportunities before the holidays.
"We've sold roughly 900 calendars and made over $18,000," firefighter and 'Mr. February' Chris Davies says adding the goal is to sell 2,000 calendars. One-hundred per cent of the proceeds from the $20 calendars featuring greased and posed local firemen will go towards the B.C. Burn Fund.
Here is a list of the upcoming sale locations:
-Saturday, November 29
Tournament Capital Centre 5 p.m.
-Wednesday, December 3
Hotel 540 6 to 10 a.m.
-Friday, December 5
Interior Savings Centre, Blazers Game 7 p.m.
-Friday, December 5
Home Hardware 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-Friday, December 12
Royal Inland Hospital (First Floor) 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition, calendars will be available for sale during office hours at the Kamloops Fire Rescue Station in Sahali 1205 Summit Drive.
Davies says if there are other events where calendar sales are welcome, firefighters will attend.
