Puerto Rico police seize $1.8M worth of cocaine aboard ferry

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Authorities in Puerto Rico say they have seized $1.8 million worth of cocaine aboard a ferry that serves two nearby islands.

Police said Wednesday that 72 kilograms (159 pounds) of cocaine was found inside a car aboard a ferry travelling from the island of Vieques to Puerto Rico.

Officials said they arrested a 35-year-old woman and turned her over to federal authorities.
