Summerland RCMP seeking alleged sexual offender

PENTICTON – Summerland RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating a man wanted for sexual offences.

RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in a press release issued today, Jan. 17, police are looking for Ivan Glen Winchester, wanted in British Columbia on accusations of five counts of sexual offences which are believed to have occurred while Winchester was living in Summerland between 2006 and 2010.

Police offered no information about his age or physical description and did not provide a photo. 

Anyone with information relating to the whereabouts of Ivan Winchester is asked to contact the Summerland RCMP at 250-494-7416, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
