RCMP make arrest in deadly Cache Creek shooting

CACHE CREEK — RCMP have arrested and charged a Cache Creek man after a deadly shooting earlier this week.

Ashcroft RCMP officers attended a residence in the 1000 block of Collins Road in Cache Creek after a report of a shooting on Jan. 14. When officers arrived they found a deceased man, according to an RCMP media release.

Police have arrested Corey Richard Harkness, 31, of Cache Creek and he has been charged with one count of murder in relation to the man's death.

Harkness appeared in Kamloops Provincial Court earlier today, Jan. 17, and is being held in custody.
