OTTAWA – The men’s varsity hockey program at the University of Ottawa will remain suspended through the 2014-15 season in the wake of misconduct allegations related to an incident in Thunder Bay in February, says university president Allan Rock.
Rock says the team’s head coach has also been relieved of his duties, although he was not involved in the incident.
The latest developments follow an internal investigation of the incident, and new policies and behaviour guidelines are also being put in place, although Rock says the results of that investigation will not be made public.
