Man accusing ‘X-Men’ director of sex abuse drops separate suit against TV exec

HONOLULU, Hawaii – A former aspiring actor and model who has accused several entertainment industry figures of child sex abuse has withdrawn another federal lawsuit.
Attorneys for Michael Egan III filed papers Wednesday in federal court in Honolulu voluntarily dismissing his case against former network TV executive Garth Ancier.
Three weeks ago, Egan withdrew a similar lawsuit against former TV executive David Neuman.
Egan’s attorneys didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. They have not said why they withdrew the two cases. Ancier’s attorneys didn’t immediately comment.
Egan has two other sex abuse lawsuits pending. One is against “X-Men” director Bryan Singer, whose lawyers have denied the claims.
Egan filed the suits in April under a Hawaii law that suspended the statute of limitations in civil sex abuse cases. Egan claims he was abused on trips to Hawaii.
