Pats down Kelowna Rockets in Regina

REGINA – The Regina Pats defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-1 on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, handing the Rockets its third straight defeat at home.

The Pats scored two short-handed goals in a span of 32 seconds in the second period, jumping out to a 2-1 lead they never relinquished.

Rockets forward Rourke Chartier had the lone Kelowna goal on the night as he continued his torrid scoring pace, scoring his 29th goal of the season in the Rockets 28th game.

Jackson Whistle was solid in net for the Rockets as Regina outshot Kelowna 36-28 in the game.

The Rockets continue its home-stand on Wednesday night at Prospera Place when they host the Saskatoon Blades.

Next weekend Kelowna has two home games, hosting Prince George on Friday and Prince Albert on Saturday in its final home games before Christmas.
