Murder charges laid in death of Salmon Arm man

SALMON ARM – Police have charged two men and a woman believed to be involved in the disappearance and death of a Salmon Arm man who was reported missing in July.

Valentine Degenhardt was last seen July 17 in Barrhead Alberta and reported missing by his wife July 19. He was in the company of his two dogs and driving a dark grey Jeep Grande Cherokee. The dogs were found. Degenhardt and his Jeep were not.

Foul play was not suspected when the investigation began.

While police have suspects in custody, they continue to search for a body.
