Non-certified need not apply to dive with sharks in Oklahoma
JENKS, Okla. – One brave open water certified diver will get the chance to wear a 45-pound chain mail suit and join bull sharks in a huge Oklahoma Aquarium tank.
Aquarium officials in Jenks on Wednesday promoted the “Dive with the Bull Sharks” as the first time the nearly 500,000-gallon tank will open to an outside diver.
Entrants must be age 18 or older, open water certified or higher and provide their certification number.
The entry deadline is July 18. The winner will be chosen the following day, by drawing, and gets an all-expense paid trip for two to the aquarium near Tulsa for a dive at a future date.
Three scuba certified aquarium staffers will also be in the tank.
One other requirement — the winner must sign a liability release form.
