Draft Night Deal: Penguins send Neal to Predators for Hornqvist and Spaling
PHILADELPHIA – The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded forward James Neal to the Nashville Predators for forwards Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling.
Neal had 27 goals and 34 assists in 59 games last season.
He broke into the NHL in 2008 with the Dallas Stars and spent parts of four seasons with Pittsburgh.
Hornqvist had 53 points (22 goals, 31 assists) in 76 games for the Predators last season. He has spent all six of his NHL seasons in Nashville.
Spaling, who spent five seasons with the Predators, had 13 goals and 19 assists in 71 games last season.
