KAMLOOPS – Police in Kamloops are investigating after two men have been shot at two different locations in the city.
Police were called to the Super 8 Hotel in Valleyview at around 6:50 a.m. this morning, Jan. 23, after receiving a report of a man lying on the ground, according to an RCMP media release.
Police say it appeared the man had been shot and was transported to the hospital.
Later, police received a call at around 8:50 a.m. from the Comfort Inn and Suites on Rogers Way, regarding another man who had been shot. Police say this man was also transported to the hospital.
Kamloops RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the situation is "very dynamic" at this time and it is unknown if these two incidents are related.
No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
Some roads have also been closed off near the crime scenes.
