What went boom in the North Okanagan?

ENDERBY – Did you hear a loud boom in Enderby or maybe Armstrong this past weekend?

Several people took to social media to report they heard a loud boom or thump sound in early hours of Sunday morning, Jan. 20, in the Enderby and Armstrong area.

People tried to guess the sound's origins, speculating about jets, rockslides, meteorites and even alien spacecraft.

The City of Enderby said they don't know what caused the sound, and Enderby's fire chief Cliff Vetter said the fire department hasn't done an investigation into it.

Enderby RCMP said no calls were made to them about the sound and they only heard about it through social media.
