Person familiar with talks: Warriors, Livingston agree to 3-year deal worth about $16 million
OAKLAND, Calif. – A person familiar with the deal says the Golden State Warriors and guard Shaun Livingston have agreed to a three-year contract worth about $16 million.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on Tuesday night on condition of anonymity because teams can’t sign free agents until the NBA’s moratorium ends July 10. Yahoo Sports first reported the agreement.
The Warriors are hoping Livingston fills the void behind point guard Stephen Curry.
The position proved problematic at times last year. Golden State started the season with Toney Douglas before trading him to Miami and acquiring Jordan Crawford and Steve Blake in separate trades. Crawford and Blake are not expected back.
The 28-year-old Livingston averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists with Brooklyn last season.
