LONDON – Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard has advanced to the semi-finals in Wimbledon after defeating Germany’s Angelique Kerber 6-3 and 6-4.
Bouchard, the 13th seed from Westmount, Que., will face off against Romania’s Simona Halep in the next round.
Halep beat Germany’s Sabine Lisicki 6-4 and 6-0 in the quarter-finals.
The other semi-final match will pit the Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova against each other.
