BALTIMORE – A Maryland airport is now a location where travellers can apply for a program that grants them expedited screening at airports.
Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein says that Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has opened a TSA PreCheck application centre.
PreCheck allows travellers enrolled in the program to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt and keep their laptop in its case and small liquids in a carry-on bag.
U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents can apply, must pay an $85 fee and undergo a background check before being approved.
The PreCheck application centre is located on the lower level in Terminal E between entrance doors 15 and 16.
