Teen in custody, woman dead, man injured in Campbell River attack

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – A 39-year-old woman has died in an apparent homicide in Campbell River, B.C.

RCMP in that Vancouver Island city say the unnamed victim was found in a home on Wednesday afternoon.

Her name has not been released and investigators have not yet said how she died.

A 19-year-old woman and 24-year-old man were also found in the house.

Cpl. Gordon Hay says the man was injured and has been airlifted to a Victoria hospital for treatment, but is expected to recover.

The 19-year-old woman is in custody and police are not commenting on how she or the injured man may be connected to the older woman’s death.
