Broadway role in this fall’s ‘On the Town’ is included on Fox’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

NEW YORK, N.Y. – This season’s winner of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” will be crowned “America’s Favorite Dancer,” get a cash prize and something else — a possible Broadway role.

The show announced Wednesday night that among the prizes on Season 11 will be a shot at a small role in this fall’s revival of “On the Town.”

“On the Town,” which was made into a 1949 film starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, features the songs “New York, New York” and “Lonely Town.” In it, three sailors jump around the city looking for love.
