TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (15,207.11, down 2.68 points):

Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Down 24 cents, or 1.23 per cent, to $19.33 on 5.3 million shares.

Lundin Mining Corp. (TSX:LUN). Miner. Up 22 cents, or 3.61 per cent, to $6.31 on 5.3 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace. Up two cents, or 0.53 per cent, to $3.82 on five million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurance. Up 14 cents, or 0.65 per cent, to $21.57 on 4.7 million shares.

Canexus Corp. (TSX:CUS). Chemicals. Down 37 cents, or 7.34 per cent, to $4.67 on 4.3 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up $1.67, or 7.11 per cent, to $25.16 on 4.2 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (1,037.79, up 1.72 points):

Stans Energy Corp. (TSXV:HRE). Miner. Up 7.5 cents, or 53.57 per cent, to 21.5 cents on 6.2 million shares.

Condor Resources Inc. (TSXV:CN). Miner. Up six cents, or 85.71 per cent, to 13 cents on 6.1 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

BlackBerry (TSX:BB). Communication equipment. Down 10 cents, or 0.88 per cent, to $11.29 on 3.5 million shares. The smartphone maker said that it is selling its research and development department in Germany to Volkswagen Infotainment, a subsidiary of the automaker that makes interactive technology built into vehicle dashboards.

SiriusXM Canada (TSX:XSR). Entertainment. Up eight cents, or 1.13 per cent, to $7.13 on 85,453 shares. The company and Honda Canada say they have extended their agreement to include a free three-month subscription to the satellite radio music service in new Honda vehicles. Financial terms of the multi-year agreement weren’t disclosed.
