Salmon Arm RCMP searching for suspect after armed robbery

SALMON ARM — Salmon Arm RCMP are searching for a suspect after a local liquor store was robbed yesterday.

Police attended to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Lakeshore Drive Southwest at 9:10 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 29, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP say a slender Caucasian man entered the store holding a long gun and demanded cash from the clerk. The cash was placed in a blue canvas bag and the man fled the area on a BMX-type bike south across the highway.

The man is believed to be in his late 30s and was 6' tall or more with a short dark beard. He was wearing gardening gloves, a black facial mask, blonde wig and a black hoodie.
