RCMP searching for wanted man possibly in Kamloops, Barriere

BARRIERE — The Barriere RCMP detachment is asking anyone with information on a man wanted for several offences to contact police.

Layton Daniel McLaren, 25, is wanted for a number of offences including possession of identity documents belonging to another person and failure to comply with probation, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say he is currently awaiting disposition on charges of trespassing, theft, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Police believe he is in the Kamloops or Barriere area.

“We are once again appealing to anyone who may have information about his whereabouts to contact police,” Barriere RCMP Cpl. Robert Welsman says in the release.

McLaren is 5'5" tall and 119 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.

If you see McLaren, police warn not to approach him and contact the Barriere RCMP at 250-672-9918.
