Encarnacion leaves game early with right leg injury

OAKLAND, Calif. – Edwin Encarnacion left the Toronto Blue Jays’ game against the Oakland Athletics in the first inning on Saturday with an apparent right leg injury.

Encarnacion beat out a double play ball, which allowed Jose Reyes to score, but he began limping just as he reached first base.

The first baseman has 26 home runs and 70 RBIs for the Blue Jays.

Adam Lind came in to run for Encarnacion and stayed in to play first.
