Police investigate stabbing

KAMLOOPS – Police are investigating a stabbing at a local motel overnight, but so far Kamloops RCMP has little more information.

Early Monday morning they were called to the Econo-Lodge Motel at 1772 East Trans Canada Highway. They found an injured man in his 40s who was sent to hospital and is expected to recover.

Cpl. Wayne Chung says it appears the victim knew his assailant, but no other information is being released.
