Extreme cold warning for North Thompson

KAMLOOPS – Bundle up folks, it's going to get cold.

Early this morning, Environment Canada issued an extreme cold weather warning for the North Thompson which could reach -22 to -28 C tonight and into tomorrow morning, made worse with strong winds.

If we reach those temperatures and winds reach a projected 20 to 30 km/h, it's going to feel like -35 to -40, the weather office says.

That can produce frostbite in minutes so if you must go outside, ensure you are covered.

Otherwise, stay in doors and take special precautions for seniors, children, anyone who works outdoors or does not have proper shelter.
