Sports surgeon James Andrews gets his own Topps trading card

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Prominent orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews now has his own trading card.

Andrews has operated on numerous sports stars and runs surgical centres in Birmingham and Florida. His card is one of the 350 included in Topps’ Allen & Ginter collection. Other non-athletes receiving cards included author Chuck Klosterman, ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.

A smiling Andrews is featured wearing surgical scrubs.

Andrews has gained national prominence with a patient list that has included Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Bo Jackson and Drew Brees.

Andrews is a founder of Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Andrews Research and Education Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida, along with the non-profit American Sports Medicine Institute.
