TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:
Toronto Stock Exchange (15,081.32, down 89.91 points):
Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Down $1.09, or 5.36 per cent, to $19.25 on 11.1 million shares.
Element Financial Corp. (TSX:EFN). Equipment financing. Up one cent, or 0.07 per cent, to $14.15 on 8.5 million shares.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down 10 cents, or 3.31 per cent, to $2.92 on 6.5 million shares.
Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS.IR). Utilities. Up 42 cents, or 1.08 per cent, to $39.43 on six million shares.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace. Down four cents, or 1.04 per cent, to $3.79 on 4.9 million shares. The company announced Tuesday agreements to sell six Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft and launched a new cargo-passenger version of the popular plane at the Farnborough Airshow.
Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Down 35 cents, or 1.36 per cent, to $25.38 on 4.2 million shares.
Toronto Venture Exchange (1,006.58, down 13.64 points):
Petroamerica Oil Corp. (TSXV:PTA). Oil and gas. Up 0.5 cents, or 1.49 per cent, to 34 cents on 4.1 million shares.
iCo Therapeutics Inc. (TSXV:ICO). Biotechnology. Up 0.5 cents, or 9.09 per cent, to six cents on 2.6 million shares.
Companies reporting major news:
Sandvine Corp. (TSX:SVC). Communication equipment. Up eight cents, or 2.38 per cent, to $3.44 on one million shares. The tech company says it has received more than $5 million of orders from two unnamed Tier 1 Internet service providers in the region of its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
