Highway 97 lane closure at Richter
The HOV lane southbound on Highway 97 between Richter and Ellis Streets will be closed Thursday, Nov. 14, for construction of the new Richter RapidBus station. Vehicle traffic will be detoured into the remaining traffic lanes during this period.
People are asked to use caution during the ongoing construction on Highway 97 at Gordon Drive (northbound and southbound) and at Richter St (southbound).
The Richter Station is part of the Kelowna RapidBus project. RapidBus is designed to improve travel time, reliability, passenger comfort and convenience. It features fast, direct service and modern, attractive amenities.
Kelowna RapidBus is a partnership between Transport Canada, the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, City of Kelowna, District of West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation and BC Transit. Its total cost is $44.5 million.
