David Suzuki coming to Kamloops next month
KAMLOOPS — As part of an international film tour, Canadian environmental activist David Suzuki will be in the tournament capital next month to screen a 48-minute film he recently narrated.
The film Beyond Climate was directed by University of Winnipeg professor and filmmaker Ian Mauro, and explores the human and environmental impacts of climate change in British Columbia.
Suzuki and Mauro will then field questions on Twitter after the film about the environment. The public is encouraged to submit questions 24 hours in advance by using the hashtag #AskSuzukiTRU.
The event will take place on March 8 and tickets range from $10 for students and $20 for Thompson Rivers University staff, faculty and the general public.
