Heavy snowfall expected
THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – Snowfall warnings are in place for several regions north of Kamloops and that system could also bring significant snowfall to most passes in the Southern Interior as well.
Environment Canada says the Coquihalla Highway, Okanagan Connector, Highway 3, Highway 97 and the Trans Canada from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass could see 15-25 centimetres of the white stuff by tomorrow morning on many of the mountain passes.
The system will also bring cooler temperatures to the region with highs ranging from 0 Celsius to 4 C in the more southern communities. Penticton and Kelowna could both see snow on Sunday while Vernon could see snow on both Saturday and Sunday.
