
Police release two names after chase and shooting incident in Kelowna
KELOWNA, B.C. – The RCMP are identifying two of the three alleged suspects in a shooting and car chase which involved police in West Kelowna.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says 32-year-old Shawn Adam Wysynski (Wih-Zin-Skee) and 39-year-old Michael Edward Ellis are being held on outstanding warrants from earlier this year.
Wysynski is being held for allegedly failing to comply with probation, Ellis for alleged trafficking.
Moskaluk says a 19-year-old woman who was also in the car when Tuesday’s chase took place remains in hospital, but he would not talk about her condition.
The three are accused of shooting at police Tuesday afternoon in a chase that started in West Kelowna and ended in Vernon.
They wll make their first court appearance related to this latest incident in Kelowna on Thursday.
