Kamloops RCMP investigating suspicious fire at Valleyview hotel

KAMLOOPS — Police are investigating a fire that damaged three units at a Valleyview hotel last night.

Kamloops RCMP say they responded to the Tournament Inn at 8:45 p.m. yesterday, March 6, for a fire that appears to have started outside the building, according to a RCMP media release.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says exhibits were seized from the area the fire is believed to have started.

"These exhibits have been sent for analysis," Shelkie says in the release.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Anyone who might have witnessed anything suspicious last night at the Tournament Inn is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
