Body of Brazilian model missing at sea is found
RIO DE JANEIRO – Authorities say they’ve found the body of a Brazilian model whose boat was caught in a windstorm off Sao Paulo.
The local fire department says Caroline Bittencourt was found ashore Monday, a day after she had disappeared.
Bittencourt and her husband, Jorge Sestini, were sailing Sunday when the wind picked up and the model fell in the water.
Sestini says he jumped after her but did not manage to saver her.
He was rescued hours later by a navy officer. The couple’s catamaran found capsized a few miles away.
