Lena Dunham to do live reading from new book at Toronto’s JFL42
TORONTO – “Girls” star and creator Lena Dunham will give a sneak peek of her new book at Toronto’s JFL42 comedy festival in September.
Organizers say the writer-actress will do a live reading from “Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s ‘Learned’” 10 days before it hits shelves.
The collection of essays is due out Sept. 30.
Dunham will do the live reading, as well as a Q&A and interview with CBC Radio host Jian Ghomeshi, on Sept. 20 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.
The third annual JFL42 fest, created by Just For Laughs, runs Sept. 18-27.
Other comedy stars in the lineup include Seth Meyers, Amy Schumer, Joe Rogan, Nick Offerman and Wanda Sykes.
