Nanaimo RCMP searching for suspect in attempted abduction of woman

NANAIMO, B.C. – Nanaimo RCMP are looking for a man who attempted to abduct a 44-year-old woman.

Officers say a man driving a late 90s Ford F150 pulled up to a woman in a vehicle that stopped at a traffic light on July 31.

The man followed the woman as she continued driving, and honked his horn and flashed his lights.

He allegedly forced her to stop by cutting in front of her, and then walked to her door, propositioned her and allegedly attempted to pull her out the window.

The woman powered up her window and sped off.

The man has a cleft chin and a white mark on the bridge of his nose and is described as athletic, in his 40s, with military-style, salt-and-pepper hair.
