Freezing rain warning over
THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – The freezing rain warning issued Saturday morning by Environment Canada for the Thompson-Okanagan region has ended.
Mild and moist air moving from the South Coast mountains into the B.C. Interior Saturday combined with sub-freezing surface temperatures throughout most valleys which produced freezing rain, according to Environment Canada’s meteorologist.
Forecasters predicted the upper disturbance would end Saturday afternoon as the freezing layer at higher elevations disappeared.
The temperature will remain steady around the freezing mark overnight Saturday and into Sunday, with clouds and flurries in the forecast. By Monday, expect clouds and a high around +3 C with rain Tuesday and Wednesday when the high reaches +7 C.
