Rosie Okumura is a California-based artist who likes to have a little fun with scammers.
In the first part of the video she explains the scam that targets film industry professionals. The scammer offers them a fake job and sends them two things: a cheque, and an invoice for equipment to buy for the phoney project. The victim then deposits the cheque and pays for the equipment, but then the scammer voids the cheque and the victim is stuck with the bill.
When someone tried to pull this on Okumura's producer friend she pretended to be an assistant, "Roberta LeTroll" and proceeded to waste the scammer's time with a trick of her own.
