Mercator Minerals Ltd. (TSX:ML). Miner. Unchanged at 4.5 cents on 11.1 million shares.

Nuinsco Resources Ltd. (TSX:NWI). Miner. Unchanged at 1.5 cents on 5 million shares.

Trevali Mining Corp. (TSX:TV). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.73 per cent, to $1.38 on 4.3 million shares.

Romarco Minerals Inc. (TSX:R). Miner. Up three cents, or 3.33 per cent, to 93 cents on 4.2 million shares.

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.66 per cent, to $1.53 on 3.6 million shares.

Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Up 29 cents, or 4.74 per cent, to $6.41 on 3.4 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Molson Coors Brewing Co. (TSX:TPX.B, NYSE:TAP). Alcoholic beverages. Up $3.87, or 5.76 per cent, to US$71.08 on 3.5 million shares in New York. The company beat expectations as quarterly net earnings increased 9.5 per cent to US$290.7 million in the second quarter on higher revenues. Revenues grew nearly one per cent to $1.2 billion even though worldwide beer volume fell to 16.6 million hectolitres and its shares ran up $3.87 or 5.76 per cent to US$71.08 in New York.

Tim Hortons (TSX:THI). Restaurants. Up $4.44, or 7.39 per cent, to $64.52 on 1.6 million shares. The company reported that same-store sales grew 2.6 per cent in Canada and 5.6 per cent in the United States. The restaurant chain also anticipates earnings per share to be near the higher end — or slightly above — its current target range of $3.17 to $3.27 earnings per share for the year.
