Rock and roll pianist to perform at Peachfest
PENTICTON – Award winning pianist Ben Waters is coming to Penticton.
The renowned boogie-boogie piano player will headline the Aug. 9 Peach Festival performance in Okanagan Lake Park at this year’s Penticton Peach Festival, according to a media release.
Waters has worked with the Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and many other well known artists in a career spanning 30 years and shows spanning the globe, the release says.
Waters has previously performed at Penticton’s Dream Cafe. He will be joined onstage by his son Tom Waters on the saxophone, along with two local musicians.
“Ben’s performances are known to keep people up long after they have gone home because their feet are still dancing. This will be a show not to miss,” Peach Festival President Don Kendall said in a media release.
