KAMLOOPS – RCMP believe a medical emergency may have been the cause of a two vehicle collision Tuesday night that sent two women to hospital and claimed the life of one driver.
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Victoria Street West (heading up the Summit Connector) and police say a westbound SUV being driven by a 70-year-old male crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound car driven by a 23-year-old female.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the hospital and both the females are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A traffic analyst, the city Traffic Unit and the Coroners Service continue to help with the investigation.
