UPDATE: Two wildfires break out near Chase

CHASE — Yesterday afternoon two wildfires broke out in the Chase area.

B.C. Wildfire has not issued any updates since this morning, March 31. 

Multiple phone calls and emails to B.C. Wildfire and the Ministry of Forests have not been returned.

The River Flats Road wildfire is still estimated at 100 hectares and the Kamloops Shuswap Road is estimated at 250 hectares.

Neither are listed as interface fires on the B.C. Wildfire website.

Both were discovered yesterday afternoon, March 30.

Today, March 31, the wildfires are listed as "out of control."
