Federal bill cracks down on cyberbullying

CANADA – An anti-cyberbullying bill introduced in the House of Commons today has been tabled.

The bill that will make it a criminal offence to distribute sexually explicit images of someone without their consent will also give law enforcement more tools to conduct internet crime investigations.

The report moved quickly through the system following the high-profile suicide of Nova Scotia teen Rehtaeh Parsons, whose alleged raped was circulated on the internet.
