Dead woman found floating in Okanagan Lake
KELOWNA – RCMP recovered the body of an adult woman floating in Okanagan Lake just off City Park in Kelowna this morning.
Just before 10 a.m. today, April 4, police received a report of a person floating face down in Okanagan Lake, according to an RCMP news release.
Kelowna RCMP, Emergency Health Services and Kelowna Fire Department staff were all at the scene and were not able to revive the woman.
RCMP say the investigation is in its earliest stages, but criminality its not suspected.
Due to the privacy of the deceased, her name will not be released, police say.
RCMP say no further information will be released to the public.
