Rock slide closes Highway 5 north of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A rock slide north of Kamloops has closed Highway 5 in both directions.

Drive B.C. says the rock slide occurred today, April 4, between Pinegrove Road and Clough Road for 4.1 kilometres on the Yellowhead Highway, just south of Barriere.

There is currently no detour available, says Drive B.C., and no estimate on when that section of highway will reopen.

For the latest on the highway closure check the Drive B.C. website here.
