Traffic stop leads to trafficking arrest

KAMLOOPS – A 32-year-old Kamloops man could face charges after police discovered drugs and a scale during a traffic stop.

A Kamloops rural RCMP officer was conducting the stop on Nicola Street just before 9 a.m. and found small quantities of what is believed to be meth, crack cocaine, heroin a scale and cash. The man was also found to be in breach of a court order. 

The officer arrested the man for possession for the purpose of trafficking. A court date was set for January.
