‘Book of Mormon’ run extended in Toronto; will go until end of November

TORONTO – There’s more “Mormon” coming to Toronto.

Mirvish Productions has announced that the wildly successful “Book of Mormon” will play an additional four weeks in the city.

The show had a six-week engagement here in 2013 at the Princess of Wales theatre and is set to return on Sept. 16.

The new block of performances will now see the show run through Nov. 30. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 8.

“The Book of Mormon” features a book, music and lyrics by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and “Avenue Q” co-creator Robert Lopez.

The religious satire has won nine Tony Awards, including best musical, best score and best book.
