UPDATE: Flipped bus blocking road east of Kelowna

KELOWNA — A bus has flipped on its side blocking a Kelowna road.

Big White Road, east of Kelowna, is closed at about the 4 km mark, a RCMP media release says.

There were 22 passengers plus the driver on the bus at the time of the incident. Six have been taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

B.C. Ambulance, RCMP and Big White Fire Department are on scene.

The road is expected to reopen within the hour.
