Kamloops RCMP seeking man accused of committing multiple robberies

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of robbing three separate Kamloops businesses within the past 24 hours.

Police say they believe the same individual is behind three robberies in the city where each time the man brandished a large knife as a weapon, a media release issued by the RCMP says.

The man is described as approximately 45 to 55 years of age, Caucasian, larger build and stature and bearing a grey goatee. In each robbery, police say the man was seen wearing a blue and grey Vancouver Canucks hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect is believed to be driving a smaller silver or grey four door sedan, police say.

"Should you encounter him in your business, do not attempt to apprehend him but rather call 911 as quickly as possible to aid in the expedited response of police resources. The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous to the public," Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk says in a news release.

Anyone with information on who the suspect is or where he may be is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
